Brush Pickup
The City of Wautoma picks up brush the last Friday of each month except for Good Friday and Thanksgiving. Brush must be piled in the same direction, with ends toward the street, so that it can be easily fed into the chipper. Leaf piles should remain separate. Trees cut down on owner’s property: owner is responsible for removal of brush, limbs, etc.
Brush piles are NOT to be moved near the street or curb prior to the Monday immediately before the last Friday of the month. You can help us improve efficiency if you follow these guidelines:
- Pile your brush neatly with all the cut ends facing the street
- Pile a long, low pile, rather than heaping it up (not to exceed 4 feet high by 10 feet long by 4 feet wide)
- Any trees cut down are the property owner’s expense
- Do not mix small twigs, leaves or garden vines with brush
- Only brush preferably 5 to 10 feet in length will be picked up
- Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the materials not being picked up

- No sticks, stones or garden waste will be accepted
- Brush should be piled separately
- Keep leaves separate from twigs and other rubbish
- Leaves and pine needles will be picked up
- Leaves and pine needles are to be placed along the terrace area next to the street
- Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the materials not being picked up
