Dog licenses are available only through the County Clerk's Office. You may license your dog at any time of the year and can do so in person, through the mail or online on the Waushara County website at www.co.waushara.wi.us/13377/dog-licensing.
ALL dogs 5 months of age or older require a license, per Sec. 174.05(1), Wis. Stats. The license year commences on January 1 and ends on the following December 31. Proof of current immunization against rabies must be presented at the time the license is requested. If you cannot find your dog’s rabies vaccination certificate, a duplicate copy must be obtained from your veterinarian.
License fees are $10 for spayed/neutered dogs and $15 for unspayed/unneutered dogs.
A late fee of $5.00 will be assessed if a license is not obtained prior to April 1st of the license year. The County Clerk is located at the Waushara County Government Center, 380 S. Townline Road.
