Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
The DMV is no longer located at the Wautoma City Hall. The DMV is now located at 715 W. Main Street, Wautoma, WI. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Dog Licenses
Dog licenses are issued by the City of Wautoma only during the real estate tax collection season, which is from the end of December through January 31st of each year. Licenses can be issued for dogs over five months of age. Proof of rabies vaccination must be shown BEFORE a license is issued. After February 1st, licenses can be purchased at the County Clerk’s office at the Waushara County Courthouse, located at 209 S. Ste. Marie Street and may be subject to a penalty. A late fee of $5.00 is assessed if a license is not obtained prior to April 1st of the license year.
Permits Needed
Permits are needed for burning, construction, decks, signs, plumbing, heating, electrical, etc. - check with City Hall if in doubt.
